Patterson and West Take Home New Triton Boat at Guntersville
The team of Daniel Patterson and Joey West won the Ram 100% Plus Team Tour event on July 8, 2017 at Lake Guntersville. Patterson and West brought in the winning limit weighing 22.46 pounds to win a new 2017 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000.
“Most of our bass come on a ¼ ounce jig. We also threw a chatter bait and a swimbait to catch some of the bass today. We were targeting grass all day in about feet of water,” stated Patterson.
Clayton Joyce and James Joyce finished second with 22.25 pounds and anchoring their bag with a 5.37-pound kicker to take home a check for $1700. They also took home $650 from the High Stake Option Pot giving them an overall winning of $2350.
“We caught three of our biggest fish using a crankbait. On the first cast of the day, we caught our biggest bass using a crankbait. We also caught a ton of fish using a Carolina rig. We were fishing in deep water all day,” said Joyce
In third place was Grant Hopson and Wes Ward. They brought in a 21.68-pound bag and took home $1200 as well as $350 from the High Stakes Option Pot giving them an overall winning od $1550.
“We caught our fish throwing a jig in the grass in about 8 feet of water. We did this all day and it paid off,” stated Hopson.

5 –Bryon Luman & Keith Miller– 20.83 pounds
The biggest bass of the tournament was weighed in by the team of Ryan Handley and Tony Schrader. The bass came in at a weight of 6.65 pounds and they took home $470
The Championship will be held on September 23-24, 2017 on Lake Chickamauga launching from Dayton Boat Dock.
