Pike and Riley Slay the Competition at Guntersville
The team of Jerald Pike and Riley Johnson won the Ram 100% Plus Team Tour event on June 24, 2017 at Lake Guntersville. Johnson and Pike brought in the winning limit weighing 26.73 pounds with a 7.97-pound kicker, to win a new 2017 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000. They also took home $510 for weighing the biggest bass of the tournament giving them a total winning at $20,510.
“We caught our fish using a custom-made football head jig, with a basic crawl trailer that can only be bought at Hudson Pro Bass in Lagrange, GA. We didn’t start catching fish until 9 this morning. We pulled up to a spot and they just started eating. We didn’t catch a lot fish but we were able to get the right bites,” said Pike.
Ken Draskovic and Terry Brown finished second with 24.00 pounds, and took home a check for $2300. They also took home $1000 from the High-Stake Option Pot giving them an overall winning of $3300.
“We caught all of our fish early in the day. We were throwing a Chatter bait to catch our bass. We had our limit by 9 this morning,” stated Brown.
In third place was Tony Butts and Ricky Butts. They brought in a 23.99-pound bag with a 7.48-pound kicker and took home $1600 for their efforts.
“Our day started out slow, we didn’t put a fish in the boat until 10 o’clock this morning. We threw crankbaits and Carolina rigs all day in deep water,” stated Butts.

5 – Clayton Joyce & James Joyce – 20.56 pounds
The team of Jeremy Bethune and Hubert Wooten took home the T-H Marine Prize Pack for coming in first place out of the money.
The next tournament in the series will be held on Guntersville on July 8, 2017 launching out of Goose Pond.
