Gnewikow & Woodside Win Back to Back Triton Boats
The team of David Gnewikow and Kevin Woodside won the fourth divisional one day of the Ram 100% Plus Team Tour event on June 10, 2017 at Kentucky Lake.
Launching out of Paris Landing State Park near Buchanan, TN, Gnewikow and Woodside brought in a winning limit weighing 27.87 pounds anchored by a 7.39-pound kicker to win a new 2017 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000. They also took home $900 from the High Stake Option Pot. They will also take home $7,000 from Triton Gold and $1000 from Mercury Marine giving them a combined total of $28900.
“We caught all of our fish using a Strike King 6XD and 8XD Chartreuse Sexy Shad crankbaits. We went south again and was just fishing deep water for our bites today. I really want to thank Carlisle, I have been with them for a few years now and they are a fantastic sponsor. I also want to thank Strike King and Fitzgerald Rods,” stated Gnewikow.
Matthew Robertson and Billy Sumner placed second with an overall weight of 25.75 pounds. They took home $2300 as well as $550 from the High Stakes Option Pot given them a total winning of $2850.
“We ran around out deep from spot to spot and was able to get several good bites. We threw crankbaits all day long and our main one being a Strike King 6XD. I want to give a special thanks to Billy Sumner for netting all the fish that was weighed today.” Said Robertson.
In third place was Kelly Readhimer and Brandon Perkins. They brought in a 24.44-pound bag and took home $1600 for their efforts.
“We fished deep ledges all day long. We used a little bit of everything to catch them today. We used spoons, crankbaits, and big worms. One of our big fish came on a Fitzgerald Fishing Jig. We got on a school fish around lunch time and was able to cull up a few times,” stated Readhimer.
4 –Dwight Terwilliger & Joshua Price– 22.74-pounds
5 –Phillip Harris & Larry Harris – 22.87-pounds
Big bass was caught by the team of Phillip Bates and Michael Rosson. The bass weighed in at 7.61-pounds and they took home $510 for the effort.
