Robertson & Sumner Take Win at Kentucky Lake

The team of Matthew Robertson of Central City, Kentucky and Billy Sumner of Hanson, Kentucky won big at the Ram 100% Team Tour event on September 17, 2016 at Kentucky Lake. Robertson and Sumner brought in the winning limit weighing 25.54 pounds with a 7.22-pound kicker to win a new 2016 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, Power Pole, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000. They also took home $500 from the Triton Gold Contingency Program, $500 from Leer Cover Caps, and $750 from the Highstakes Option Pot making their total winnings over $21,000. Robertson and Sumner will both receive a new Simms Challenger rain suit for being the top team at this event. This victory also sealed the Anglers of the Year position for Robertson & Sumner and they will receive entry fees into the 2017 tournament season.

ABA Announces the 2017 Ram 100% Plus Team Tour

August 19, 2016, Athens, AL - American Bass Anglers announced the 2017 Ram 100% Plus Team Tour season details today. The Ram 100% Plus Team Tour provides team tournament competition that includes a Triton/Mercury boat package for first place at each divisional event.  The year-end championship will offer two (2) Triton/Mercury boat package to the winning team and a combined payout of up to $80,000 in cash, prizes and bonuses based on a full field. Registration for the 2017 season will begin on August 22, 2016 at 8:00 am online at www.teamtrail.com or by phone at (256) 232-0406.

Dixon & Johnson Win Neely Henry Event

The team of Jack Dixon and William Andrew Johnson won the Alabama division Ram Trucks 100% Plus Team Tour event on April 30, 2016 at Neely Henry Lake. Dixon and Johnson brought in a 19.19 pound limit to win a new 2016 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, Power Pole, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000. The team also won the $500 Leer Big Bass award for bringing in a 6.51 pound kicker. “We caught most of our fish today, including the big fish, flipping a black and blue jig in two feet of water. We didn’t catch a fish until 10:00 or so and we didn’t catch a lot fish throughout the day. We just had the right bites on,” said Dixon.

Rudd & Van Dyke Win on Old Hickory

The team of Bunyan Rudd and James Van Dyke won the TN/KY division Ram 100% Team Tour event on April 23, 2016 at Old Hickory Lake. Hollowell and Merritt brought in the a limit weighing 22.10 pounds to win a new 2016 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, Power Pole, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000. The pair also brought in the 5.46 pound Leer Big Bass of the day to claim an extra $500. “We were using a Biffle jig head with a baby brush hog in about 12 feet of water, green pumpkin with a fluorescent tail. We were only able to cull once, so the bites we were able to get were just the right ones. We caught all of our fish using this jig as well as the big fish,” said Rudd.

Leary & Hatfield Win Guntersville Ram Trucks 100% Plus Team Event

The team of Jim Leary and Steve Hatfield won the Alabama division Ram Trucks 100% Plus Team Tour event on March 26, 2016 at Lake Guntersville. Leary and Hatfield weighed in a whopping 31.15 pounds to win a new 2016 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, Power Pole, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000. The team also won $1150 from the High Stakes Option Pot.

“First cast, my trolling motor stop working. I stopped to fix it and when I reeled my bait in, I had one of our big ones on. Then, we hit a bit of a dry spell,” said Leary.

“We caught them on swimbaits and Chatterbaits, fishing drains and spawning areas. We caught them early and then, it got tough on us. Then, we went a little deeper and were able to cull a few more times. We caught our fish anywhere from 6-9 feet of water,” said Hatfield.

Hollowell & Merritt Win New Triton Boat at Kentucky Lake

The team of Troy Hollowell and J D Merritt won the first TN/KY division Ram 100% Team Tour event of the year on March 19, 2016 at Kentucky Lake. Hollowell and Merritt brought in the “monster” Kentucky Lake limit weighing 29.37 pounds to win a new 2016 Triton Boats 17TX with a Mercury 60hp four stroke outboard, Garmin Echomap units, Motorguide trolling motor, Power Pole, and a host of T-H Marine products valued at $20,000 and $1000 from the High Stakes Option Pot. "We caught fish anywhere from 1-30 feet of water. The fish bit very well today for us. We caught our fish using a Rat-L-Trap, swim jig, and a jerkbait,” said Hollowell.

Scott Brummett and William Schroeder finished in second place with 27.73 pounds to win $2650 and $600 from the High Stakes Option Pot. "We caught our fish using a red Rat-L-Trap in three feet of water. We caught fish pretty much all day. We had a limit by 8:00 and were able to cull up throughout the day,” said Schroeder.
